Since 2012, the New York City borough of The Bronx has been without a center for its vibrant LGBTQ community.
Although organizations such as Bronx Academy for Art and Dance (BAAD) which are queer run and welcoming to our community, The Bronx is a desert when it comes to official LGBTQ spaces and we believe that more is better.
The Bronx Queer Forum was created to provide safe spaces for our community to gather, enjoy each other’s company while watching films and documentaries that are important to us.
Our goal is to start out small with monthly events during Summer 2017 at The Bronx Documentary Center and then see where it takes us.
